Money Cart 4: Slot Overview
Clear the way, folks, Money Cart 4 is gliding into town on mag tracks to give players a taste of Money Train 4-lite, as it were. At least, this is how the last three Money Cart slots have performed. Relax Gaming specifically designed the series with UK gamblers in focus, as their restrictions prevented them from purchasing bonuses. Therefore, Money Cart was developed to offer a quicker and more frequent access to the series'' infamous bonus rounds. The downside? Winning potential takes a serious knock in these sorts of games, but you can't have everything, right? Life's all about compromises. Like that joke about the couple where she wanted a cat, but hubby didn't want a cat, so they compromised and got a cat? Maybe not, anyway, get your ticket, we're climbing aboard the train once again.
However, we're skipping Money Train 4's base game to reside solely in a Rogue One-like environment where there are no scatter-paying wins or base game respin features this time. Instead, hitting spin drops either blanks, bonus scatter symbols, or special symbols onto the grid. When 3 or more symbols hit, they trigger the respin hold 'n win feature. The action takes place on a 6-reel, 8-row gaming grid, but the top 2 and the bottom 2 rows are initially locked. However, these rows can be unlocked during the respins bonus round. Money Cart 4 is a highly volatile slot that accepts bets of 10 c to $/€60 per paid game round and produces an RTP value of 96%.
Money Cart 4: Slot Features
When the feature is triggered by landing 3 symbols, players are awarded with 3 respins. When triggered, the triggering symbols show a numerical value. Any special symbols that trigger the feature reveal a value and play their action before the first respin. Hitting new symbols on a respin locks them to the grid and resets the spin count back to 3. When filling a row with symbols, an extra row is opened, which can happen a maximum of four times in a round. It is possible to land these symbols:
- Bonus Symbols – reveal a value of 1 to 10 coins.
- Collector – collects all visible values and adds them to its own value.
- Persistent Collector – collects all visible values and adds them to its own value at the end of that spin and every following spin. It does not collect its own value.
- Adjacent Collector – collects all the values from the 8 adjacent positions and adds them to its own value.
- Persistent Adjacent Collector – collects all the values from the 8 adjacent positions and adds them to its own value on that spin and every following spin.
- Payer – reveals a value, then adds it to all other visible symbols on the reels.
- Persistent Payer – reveals a value, then adds it to all other visible symbols on that spin and every following spin. Does not pay itself.
- Adjacent Payer – reveals a value, then adds it to all adjacent symbols.
- Persistent Adjacent Payer – reveals a value, then adds it to all adjacent symbols on the spin and every following spin.
- Sniper – doubles the values of 3 to 8 other Bonus symbols. It can act on the same symbol more than once.
- Persistent Sniper – doubles the values of 3 to 8 other Bonus symbols on that spin and every following spin. It can act on the same symbol more than once.
- Collector-Payer – selects 3 to 5 symbols as targets, adds their values to its own and then pays out the updated value to each of those targets.
- Persistent Collector-Payer – at the end of each spin, it selects 3 to 5 symbols as targets, adds their values to its own and then pays out the updated value to each of its targets.
- Arms Dealer – converts 1 to 4 symbols into a feature symbol, then after the conversion, the new feature symbol performs its action.
- Persistent Arms Dealer – converts 1 symbol into a feature symbol at the end of the spin and every following spin. After the conversion, the new feature symbol performs its action.
- Necromancer – revives 2 to 7 already used non-persistent feature symbols. The same symbol can be targeted several times.
- Persistent Necromancer - revives 1 to 7 already used non-persistent feature symbols at the end of the spin and each following spin. The same symbol can be targeted several times.
- Persistent Shapeshifter - Turns into one of these features after every spin – Collector, Payer, Sniper, Collector Payer, Arms Dealer or Unlocker.
- Unlocker – unlocks a locked row.
- Reset Plus – increases the starting value of the spin count by 1.
- Upgrader – Upgrades 1 to 3 feature symbols to Persistent versions.
All special symbols show a value before performing their action. When more than one special symbol acts, they do so from top row to bottom row, from leftmost to rightmost position when on the same row.
Money Cart 4: Slot Verdict
If you've struggled to see many of the special symbols in Money Train 4 strut their stuff, then it might be worth giving Money Cart 4 a test run to attempt to rectify the situation. In this diluted version, the respin round triggers a lot more often than it does normally, meaning way more face time (theoretically) with those glorious special symbols. And there are a ton of them to work your way through, too. Some are similar to those found in previous MT slots, some have been altered around, and some are brand-spanking new. Of particular note is the Persistent Arms Dealer, and if you're lucky enough to get that beauty, then there is a chance good things are going to happen. No guarantees, of course. Train rides may get bumpy here.
One critical piece of information about Money Cart 4, and which still confuses (and disappoints) a lot of players, is that it functions using a coin system. What this means is symbols display a value in coins rather than a bet multiplier as in Money Train 4. Up above the reels, the game displays the value of 1 coin, which is one-tenth of the bet. So, for instance, if you're betting €1 per spin, then 1 coin is worth 0.1x the bet. Just to make things crystal clear for those who have not tangled with any of the earlier Money Cart slots. It means the game's 150,000 coin top prize comes out at 15,000x the bet, rather than the gobsmacking 150,000x of Money Train 4.
Like previous Money Cart slots, Money Cart 4 is a 'lite' version of the original, if you will. It's busy, though, and as such, some may prefer playing this way due to the more frequent showing of the respin round (without having to buy it) than the original, despite the decimated winning potential. Money Cart 4 might be a trimmed-down edition, but it's certainly eventful and a highly entertaining way of seeing those special symbols in action.
Great
Money Cart 4 might be a diluted version of the original, but that doesn’t stop it being an entertainingly eventful train ride.
